When you first open NowSpinning, you'll be prompted to sign in with your phone number, then connect your Discogs account. Tap "Connect Discogs" and sign in to your Discogs account in the browser. Your collection and wantlist will sync automatically.

Yes, a free Discogs account is required to use NowSpinning. Discogs is the source of truth for your vinyl collection data. You can create a free account at discogs.com.

The initial sync depends on the size of your collection. Most collections sync in under a minute. Very large collections (5,000+ records) may take a few minutes. You can use the app while syncing is in progress.

Find the record in your collection and tap "Spin" (or the play button). Your spin is logged immediately and appears in your listening history. You can also use the Apple Watch app or barcode scanner for quick logging.

Yes. Go to your listening history, swipe left on any spin entry, and tap Delete. Deleting a spin will update your play counts and contribution calendar accordingly.

No. Community location sharing is completely opt-in and off by default. When enabled, your location is geohashed to approximately 150 meters of precision, so your exact location is never revealed. Community spins are automatically deleted after 24 hours.

Go to Settings > Community and toggle off location sharing. You can also revoke location permissions for NowSpinning in your device's system settings.

No. Audio recognition uses Apple's ShazamKit to process audio in real-time on your device. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers. The audio visualizer also processes input locally without any recording.

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account, or contact us at support@nowspinningapp.com. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your spin history, settings, and cloud data.
